PROJECT OVERVIEW: A Pricing Operations and Strategy Manager is responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies, while also overseeing the operational aspects of those strategies for the GRVTY Cyber and Intelligence Business Unit (BU). This includes analyzing market trends, competitor pricing, and company costs to determine optimal pricing models. The manager also works with various teams like sales, marketing, and product to ensure pricing aligns with overall business goals. This person works across various teams, such as sales, marketing, and finance, to ensure pricing decisions align with business objectives and support revenue goals. They also lead pricing initiatives, manage pricing teams, and communicate strategies to stakeholders. This person will support the annual rate setting and rate negotiation processes, while continually working to refine pricing infrastructure. Additionally, they will develop, iterate, and utilize sophisticated pricing and profitability models to support pricing requests and other pricing projects and initiatives. The Pricing Strategy Manager will work closely with others in Finance to further the team objective of implementing pricing and project management best practices, to ensure stakeholders are aware of the financial implications of pricing, process management, and staffing decisions.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop thorough expertise in GRVTY and CIBU capabilities and product and service offerings.
  • Collaborate to define prospective customer archetypes and recommend targeted product and service packages.
  • Assess the effectiveness of existing pricing models & processes and implement best practices.
  • Develop pricing and draft written proposals for bespoke customer projects.
  • Collaborate on the development of new product and service offerings as needed.
  • Support development of advanced pricing strategies based on the BU’s financial objectives.
  • Aid in company-wide billing rate setting including enhancing advanced analyses; Produce reporting and data visualization for an audience that includes partner leadership and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Analyze market data and competitor pricing through studying market trends, customer feedback, and competitor pricing to inform pricing decisions.
  • Assist with the annual client rate review and negotiation processes, ensuring competitive positioning while maintaining BU profitability, including analyzing and recommending rates across seniority tiers, geographies, and practice areas.
  • Produce sophisticated financial analyses using established and new, creative approaches.
  • Develop creative alternative fee arrangements that align incentives for clients and the company.
  • Lead responses to financial components for Requests of Proposals (RFPs) and pitches.
  • Create sensitivity analyses to help BU leadership understand potential impacts of changes in profit drivers. Improve BU leadership’s financial literacy through education on the business of the FAR to effectuate optimal commercial decisions for client pricing proposals.
  • Assist with the development of predictive pricing and budgeting tools.
  • Provide thoughtful analysis and insights regarding company financial performance, including identifying trends and recommending opportunities to maximize profitability or limit risk.
  • Support the development of team processes, checklists, and other critical infrastructure to enhance and accelerate the maturity of the Pricing/LPM function.
  • Draft and edit highly professional, accurate, and actionable email correspondence.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance:

  • Ability to receive and hold a Top Secret clearance

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required. A degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics is preferred (MBA or MPP is a plus).
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, contract management, corporate strategy, or operations. Previous pricing or commercial industry experience is required.
  • Knowledge of pricing methodologies and best practices for the development and implementation of effective pricing strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed pricing decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate pricing strategies to stakeholders.
  • Experience in designing and developing software and platform pricing models.
  • Project management skills to lead and manage pricing initiatives effectively, with a focus on operational process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with SQL and VBA is strongly desired.
  • Extensive experience creating and maintaining complex spreadsheets (creative use of formulas, macros, pivot tables & modeling) required.
  • Experience in using data visualization tools (e.g., Microsoft PowerBI) is desired.
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule according to workload demands.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.

WORK LOCATION: Dulles, VA / Hybrid.

TRAVEL: Some travel may be required on a case by case basis.
